2nd Grade Teacher

Mrs. Becky McCutchen

I love teaching at St. Peter because it is so familiar to me. I attended this school growing up and am currently a parishioner, and teacher.

Second grade is a wonderful grade to teach. The students grow so much academically and spiritually. I try to help every child work to their fullest potential. I also focus on having a positive attitude and cooperating with others. I am excited each year to walk with the students and their families on their faith journey by helping them prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

I hope to create an atmosphere in my classroom where my students feel comfortable and strive to work to their fullest potential. Some of the opportunities offered each day include learning through guided reading and writer’s workshop. The students spend their days doing individual work, group work, and working together as a class. Math, social studies, and science are also incorporated. Finally, we get to learn together each day about our Catholic faith. I am so blessed to have this wonderful job!
