Mrs. Emily Riese
I am so excited to spend another year nurturing young minds at St. Peter School! With a warm smile and a compassionate heart, I strive to create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I believes in the power of education to transform lives and strive to instill in my students a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom walls. I am deeply rooted in my faith and integrate Catholic values into my teaching, fostering a sense of community, empathy, and respect among students. I recognize the importance of character development alongside academic achievement, and work tirelessly to help students develop into responsible, compassionate, and ethical individuals. In my classroom, I hope to inspire a love for learning, a strong sense of faith, and a commitment to service in the hearts of all who enter my classroom. I strive to be not just a teacher but also a mentor, a role model, and a guiding light for my students as they navigate the journey of adolescence.

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and have always wanted to be a teacher! I graduated from Quincy University in 2020, where I met my husband, Austin. We were married in June of 2022 and currently reside in Quincy with our two dogs, Snoopy and Woodstock, and our cat, Luna. I received my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in 2023. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, quilting and walking my dogs.
