Mrs. Nicole Genenbacher
What I love most about St. Peter School is the community. As soon as you walk in the doors it feels like home, and I know it is the place that God wanted me to be.
I entered the teaching profession only after God challenged me during my Senior Religion class at QND to reflect on my gifts and talents and how I was using them now. It was this class that made me really take the time to reflect on where I was meant to me, and eventually led me St. Peter School.
It is because of this experience of mine in which I had God and faith present in my schooling that I am so excited to do that same for my students. I pray daily for the success of my students and for the opportunity to positively touch their lives even in a small way.
In the 2021-2022 school year my faith and trust in the Lord led me to help start the Wilhelm Johnson Scholz STEM Lab at our school. Our lab was made possible through multiple generous donations and is meant to be a place to educate the problem solvers of tomorrow. My teaching philosophy is one of full immersion in which the students and I both are able to delve into the material. I believe in hands on learning in which the only way to learn is through doing. During the day you will find me right along my students challenging them with problems they may not always know the answer to, but that makes their brains work in different ways. I strive to find ways in which all my students are able to succeed in not only my classroom, but in the world.

My Teaching Style
I feel students learn best when they are given the opportunity to move away from the text book and are given the opportunity to put the information into real life contexts, and to explore the material.
Get to know me...
I am a graduate of QND, Blessed Sacrament, and QU where I received my B.S. in Elementary Education. I was born and raised in Quincy along with my younger siblings.
Growing up I enjoyed spending time with my cousins at our family farm, where I was lucky enough to learn valuable wisdom from my Grandpa the late Ron Hinkamper.
In addition, I am married to Andrew Genenbacher. You will find us with our family and chickens trying to enjoy the adventure that is life and enjoying every season of it that God puts in our path.
