Susie Eaton

I am so excited to be part of the St. Peter School family. I love Kindergarten, and I look forward to all the new experiences we will be having together this school year. I look forward to working with my students as well as their parents. I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for us.

I believe each child has their own unique learning style. My instruction is differentiated, it includes hands on, auditory, and visual components so all children will be supported and challenged to learn to their full potential. We will do this by singing, moving, dancing, building, acting out stories, reading, watching, listening, and playing. It is so exciting to watch the children grow throughout the school year. I love watching the students’ faces light up when they make new discoveries and figure out something new for the first time.

I also believe that parents and teachers share the responsibility for teaching their child. This is vital for a successful educational experience. Learning is an amazing process that is happening all the time at school as well as at home. I will provide the tools necessary for spiritual and intellectual formation of the child. I believe in the importance of teaching the Catholic faith and incorporating it into everyday lessons. Through daily prayer and classroom discussions, we will help each other grow in our relationship to God. Together we can better our faith life.

Most importantly, I want students to love school as much as I did when I was in school!
